Ear Surgery (Otoplasty)
-
it is the procedure that repairs or adjusts wide set
ears. it is done as outpatient under local anesthesia and entails
incising the ear cartilage from the back allowing the ear to be
adjusted backwards in a more less conspicuous position. The skin
incision is at the back of the ear thus will not be noticed

anesthesia: local anesthesia
-
duration of procedure:
1 1/2 hours

dressing; stitches removed after 4-5 days
Chin Augmentation (Mentoplasty)
-
This is one of the procedures that is least noticed but
greatly enhances the proportional beauty of the face. This is also
done as out patient under local anesthesia. The incision will be
inside the mouth near the gumline thus making it very unnoticeable. A
silicone implant will be trimmed according to the contour of your face

Browlift Procedure
-
This is a relatively new technique that uses special
sutures that will pull the outer third of the eyebrow upwards creating
a "bolero eyebrow" look. Done under local anesthesia, very small
incisions are done near the hairline and over the brows that easily
hides the scar.

Facelift (Rhytidectomy)

some amount of loss in skin elasticity and fat accumulation.
A facelift
tightens the skin around your neck and face, removes deep creases
especially around the cheeks and mouth that are common with aging. It
results in a younger, fresher looking face with tighter skin tone that
lasts 5 to 10 years.
-
indications: patients
usually above 50
years old-looking and aging face
-
confinement: yes
-
anesthesia: general anesthesia
-
duration of procedure:
3-4 hours
-

gauze
dressing with elastic bandage; a small tube may be placed for 1-2 days
to prevent swelling and accumulation of blood; stitches removed after
4-5 days
Mini-facelift Suture Technique
-
This procedure has the advantages of no long incisions
around the ears, and relatively shorter recovery period. This is
highly recommended in patients who are not that old and still have
relative elasticity of skin. Similar to the "Aptos" technique,
special sutures are used to pull the skin and soft tissues of the face
backwards making the face look more youthful with less wrinkles. The
procedure is combined with mini-liposuction of the jowl area (near the
angle of the jaw with fat accumulation).
-
indications: patients above 40
years old with aging face (but still with some amount of skin
elasticity)
-
confinement: yes
-
anesthesia: local anesthesia with
sedation or general anesthesia
-
duration of procedure:
2 hours
-

local wound

Dermal Filler for Wrinkles
-
The answer to those who do not have time for operation
and recovery period. Dermal fillers have a variety of uses but are
mainly used to treat passive wrinkles or wrinkles that are visible
even without facial expression. There are temporary fillers that last
for about 6 months to 1 year, and those that are permanent. wrinkles
commonly treated are those of the forehead, glabella, crowsfeet of the
eyes, and nasolabial fold. Use of Botox complements this as they take
care of the active wrinkles or wrinkles that show upon facial
expression.
-
indications: passive wrinkles, lip
augmentation, deep nasolabial fold
-
confinement: not needed
-
anesthesia: local anesthesia
-
duration of procedure:
15-30
minutes
-
post-operative care:
none.
patients may go back to work right after the procedure
Lip Reduction/Augmentation
-
Lip reduction is done in patients who have very thick
lips. The incision is done at the inner portion of the lip thus
concealing it. Lips heal very nicely so scars are virtually
imperceptible to the naked eye.
-
Lip augmentation is becoming very popular because it
uses dermal fillers and is done instantly creating full, kissable
lips. Use of temporary fillers is recommended initially. If you like
the result, then the permanent filler is used for a lasting effect.
Both done under local anesthesia, patients may go home right away
after surgery.
-
indications: thick or thin lips,
lips with lack of projection
-
confinement: not needed
-
anesthesia: local anesthesia
-
duration of procedure:
15-30
minutes
-
post-operative care:
none.
patients may go back to work right after the procedure
Hair Restoration/Transplant Procedure
-
Hair loss is a big problem among a lot of males. This
is called "male pattern baldness" which is inherited. This type of
baldness makes people look 10 to 20 older! They result to the use of
wigs that very rarely looks natural to them. What better way to treat
this than using your own hair to be transplanted to bald areas of the
head. The best thing is
it will grow for the rest of your life.
-
Donor hair follicles are taken from the hair at the
back and is distributed and implanted over the bald areas. It is
done under local anesthesia so we can actually converse while we do
the procedure. Don't worry about the pain because local
anesthesia is very effective on this procedure. The number of sessions
would depend on the amount of bald areas to be covered. Usually, the
time between sessions is about 6 months to get the desired results.
-
indications: male-pattern
baldness usually at 40 years and older; other types of baldness
-
confinement: not needed

Breast lift (Mastopexy)
-
Breasts that
are sagging may also have a low projection. This happens in both
small and large breasts. In some women, mere augmentation with
implants will improve the projection. However, there are cases
wherein a special procedure is done to adjust the nipple-areolar

-
Liposculpture is one of the most popular cosmetic
surgery operations. The small cannula is placed deep into the

After the surgery is complete, pressure dressing must be worn to
the suction site to keep body contour in shape.

local or spinal/regional anesthesia depending on the area
-
duration
of procedure:
depends on the area to be done
-

history. You will need to let him or her know about any
medications that you are currently taking.

-
Abdominoplasty is the
procedure that removes excess fat and skin and tighten the muscles of the abdomen. This is
usually combined with liposuction of of the upper and lower abdomen
